How do I place my order?


Follow the instructions of the cart shop, adding the analyses you need. You can choose between bank transfer or Paypal payments (both credit card or Paypal account). In the case of bank transfer our account number is:

Print the DNA avian sexing submission form and as many templates for the collection of samples as different individuals you will analyze (3rd page). Fill the document, having especial care in the accurate identification of the samples.

Introduce the DNA sexing submission form and your samples into an envelope. If you paid by bank transfer introduce also the transfer receipt or send it by e-mail to info@iberogen.es. Send the envelope to:

  You will receive your results by e-mail in approximately 1 to 6 working days since the arrival of the samples to our laboratory.

Feathers collection

1. Avoid the cross-contamination of samples being careful. If you handle different animals, clean your hands among them. Clean with alcohol tweezers, scissors or whichever material you use.
2. We will need 5 or 6 plucked feathers. Select under tail coverts feathers as shows the figure (NO CLOACAL FEATHERS). Fallen feathers or feathers without quill are not useful.

3. Use adhesive tape to stick the feathers in the printed templates for the collection of samples. Use a different template for each individual. The adhesive tape should not touch the quill, follow the sketch at the template. Identify each individual with the same code you provided in the 2nd page of the DNA avian sexing submission form.
4. Once all feathers are stuck in the template, fold the template by the discontinuous line and then close the margins of the paper making a tight envelope. Avoid the use of plastic bags.

Blood collection

1. Avoid the cross-contamination of samples being careful. If you handle different animals, clean your hands among them. Clean with alcohol tweezers, scissors or whichever material you use. Sterile lancets should be discarded after a single used.
2.  Cut a small proportion of a nail and to scrape the quick (full of blood vessels). Alternatively, use a lancet for the puncture of a claw vein.
3. We just will need three blood drops that should be laid in the circles of the template. Alternatively you can use other pieces of paper if then you include them into the template. Use a different template for each individual. Identify each individual with the same code you provided in the 2nd page of the DNA avian sexing submission form.
4. Once the blood is dry, fold the template by the discontinuous line and then close the margins of the paper making a tight envelope. Avoid the use of plastic bags.
